Dr. de Beaubien is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alma College (‘85) as a member of Phi Beta Kappa and went on to earn his M.D. degree with High Distinction from Wayne State University (Detroit), as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. Orthopedic residency was completed in Grand Rapids, Michigan followed by a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at Providence Hospital in Seattle.
With a career spanning over 25 years in clinical practice,
Dr de Beaubien has focused on one of the most challenging and devastating problems in total joint surgery; peri-prosthetic joint infection (PJI). As founder of Osteal Therapeutics, he has multiple issued patents for a novel intra-articular antibiotic drug delivery system for rapid, reliable treatment of periprosthetic joint infections.
